China: Exceptionally fine Chinese scholar's wall carpet woven in Baotou, Inner Mongolia with “honor and riches” design, circa 1920. Please note the detailed and precise weaving of the depicted objects. There is what appears to be a minor ink stain that may be seen in enlargement #7 but other than that in perfect condition It has re-selvedged in the correct Baotou style and has a contemporary band with loops sewn at the top so this may be hung from a wall. i would just double the loops over so you can’t see them if you want to hang this piece. Note reference in last enlargement for a similar 19th century piece. l: 133cm/52in and w: 63cm/25in.
