a couple of extremelly rare Spanish Nasri textiles from the 15th century or Earlier. The Arabs were in the Iberian Peninsula for 700 years. Both of these textiles probably come from the Granadan Kingdom, as they show a mixture of Muslim and Andalusian motifs. The background is linen or some other vegetable fibre and the colour motifs are worked with the highest quality silk, perhaps from the Alpujarra mountains. Both textiles come from a Spanish collection assembled during the 1920s. 33,5x6,5 and 29x4 cms.
