The large old caucasus kilim depicts a lavish pattern of stylized palmettes on black ground. Probably none of each numerous ornaments is repeated in their choice of colors. The yellow-green border is decorated with a pattern of colorful stylized flowers. The year of manufactory 1899 is woven into the upper left corner of the carpet. The carpet is in age-according good condition with small replied spots. The dimensions are 4.12 x 2.15 m.
