Taimani two piece sleeping rug Central Afghanistan, probably Ghor province Circa 1930. Goat hair and wool warps, goat hair over binding to selvage. Orange synthetic dye, otherwise all natural dyes as well as un-dyed wool. Thick lustrous wool, long pile. Wide kilim ends with bold graphic design seldom seen on Taimani bedding rugs, this one still has some of the original white and brown twining intact. Large rug, 230 cm x 170 cm. (91" x 67")
