Very old Shahsavan reverse soumak, 19c. Measures roughly 62cmx60cm. i dont know why rr posts all images sideways !!! i bought this a little while back (irresistable) but as i already have several of these, i am letting this one go. It's a very old piece i believe. i think the pictures show the excellent range of natural colours - lots of cochineal in different shades ... Very hard to photograph accurately... The chevron border is an added bonus as is the great back. Bag is complete. Some minor splitting at sides but easily fixed if required. Some surface wear as seen. Note the perfectly drawn s border ... no errors. Don't believe the bullshit hype about variations ... this is as it should be. No Es or other mistakes. These pieces follow a pattern.
