Shahsavan sumak mafrash long-side panel, North West Persia (Khamseh province); this design type is very specific and there are only a few published examples - for another see Wertime, Sumak Bags, no. 36; see also Jenny Housego, Tribal Rugs, plates 30 and 31; probably from around the end of the 19th century; overall good condition with one small hole and a small loss from the right bottom corner; 107 x 61 cms (yes it is a big panel).
