Tekke Turkoman Engsi, ca. 1850; 3’10” x 4’5” / 117 x 165 cm. Beautiful copper reds, pale oranges, from madder, with a very nice elem-panel showing diagonal rows of hooked diamond or ashik variants, slender added tree branches, and comb-like totems. These combs are also scattered about the trees in the borders. Beautiful glossy wool, mostly intact save some scattered cuts at the edges, a few small holes, and a frayed section at upper right corner.
