Uzbek ikat wallhanging, silk warp, cotton weft, 19th century, 46 x 58 inches, lining of hand spun hand woven cotton with a stamped or resist dyed design. The many fabric pieces comprising this wallhanging suggest it was fachioned from a disassembled coat. It shows significant overall abrasion,wear and loses, nevertheless it still retains a striking visua appeal.
