Very nice elegant piece in gallery format. In the rare narrow
The main field marked in blue is made up of twelve vertically
colorful boteh variation, also called (mother and child) illustration -
always a small boteh motif in the belly of the
Main boteh, therefore called mother and child.
The secondary motifs are some colorful rosettes, small trees
Animal representations and other small elements and features.
The rare red main border consists of geometrically abstracted
Pairs of birds perched on a thin vertical pole.
are strong on a string or a small line with step diamonds.
Two light side borders with S-motifs and geometric kinked wavy tendrils.
Age: around 1900.
Dimensions: approx. 3.35 x 1.09 meters- foot approx. 11 x 3.7 ".
Material: wool on wool with bright natural colors.
Condition: uneven pile with low spots and signs of age.
Ends and edges are secured well and solidly (see photos).
Overall impression good and okay. Interesting-
rare collector's item with a rare format.
