One small old domestic repair midway along the bottom edge of the field. Colors appear to be all good, stable, natural. White is cotton. The top edge of the front has a braided green wool cord sewn down at intervals to make a series of closure loops, and the top edge of the flatweave back has similar cord of red wool cord sewn down at similar intervals. This red cord extends several inches at one end and was probably once a long cord that could be interlaced through the closure loops. The flatweave back has enough variation in the red color to show that individual wefts do not extend the full width, but meet in a series of micro-lazy lines that overlap in a column several inches wide up the center. This suggests that two weavers were sitting side-by-side, each with their own ball of variably-dyed red yarn, with their wefts meeting near the center.
