Antique yellow ground Caucasian rug, probably Avar, with a spacious lattice of large tulip palmettes. Overall even very low pile with scattered wear as shown. Small edge tear and a spot or two of damage. Remnant original selvages and ends unraveling. Unusual palette of all natural colors. Interesting and uncommon weaving. As found, could use a good wash. 19th c. 2’10” x 4’2”
