Four-cornered hat, Huari culture, Peru. Camelid fibers, natural dye. A.D. 700-1000, 5.25" (13.3 cm) high by 5.75" (14.6 cm) diameter. Ex. Fifi White collection, California. An unusual brown and tan checkerboard four-cornered hat with a brown bordered blue square on the top. It has been professionally lined with brown cotton and sits on a custom leather base. In excellent condition, with just a little restoration on the blue square - please see photo.
