Kabystan, Gabristan, Semaka district Shirvan. a bird shirvan or shirwan is a type of carpet from the Shirvan area in East Azerbaijan. On a dark indigo blue field a stepped Hexagon in the midfield in a copper red field. White figures are depicted that seem to be birds. The ' birds ' are depicted with double wings and fly to the centre. Are they angels, pigeons or Simorgh the fire Eagle? All three are found in the myths of the region. Medallions in the dark blue field, including Talish medallions in the four corners. The main border has a white field with a zigzag pattern which also called Eagle's beak or birds-on-a-pile.
