An exceptionally fine Antique Indian silk on silk embroidery dating to the 19th century. It is possibly from Rajasthan and likely a dowry piece. The chain stitched silk embroidery is extremely fine on a white silk ground. The floral designs with birds is so intricate and elegantly executed. The rich colours are beautiful.
