a beautiful antique Uzbek Adras Ikat panel that really looks like a modern art except that it dates to early 1900. It is a fine silk warp and cotton weft ikat and possibly made in Kokand or Bukhara. This geometric designed school of Ikat's really came about at the end of 19th century and died by first quarter of 20th century. These types were really a play of geometry and colour. To our modern eyes they resemble modern art. a very beautiful piece, in good condition and would look great as a wall hanging. Size 140cm x 62cm (55" x 24")
