antique caucasian long rug, probably akstafa, with an interesting design featuring bold chajli type medallions. As found, with good fine weave and allover low pile, heavy brown oxidation, a few crude patch repairs and a couple small spots of crude attempted repiled browns. Clean with recent good wash. All excellent natural colors. Lovely early example of caucasian weaving with good age, ca. 1860-70. 3'10" x 9'
