This is a cast bronze oil lamp from the Seljuq era in Khorassan, n.e. of Iran, ca. 12th century a.d. There is an inscription around the lid that i can not decipher. These oil lamps have appeared in iconography of antique rugs. About 4.5" h x 5" l x 3" w.
