south west china panel. not 6th, only mid 20th century but it retains somewhat of some early fareast embroideries. the central panel (the interesting part!) which is perhaps olders than the fabrics of the frame is traditionally made of pieced silk outlined with horse tail hair overwrapped with silk threads. a really dynamic very precisely executed design rarely seen in pieces of that age... a tiny panel so a tiny price.. worth of a closer look..
