This rare match safe is marked sterling and there is a pinched striker on the bottom. a serpent winds through a dapper skull's sye sockets, mouth, ears and chin - unusual imagery for match safe, though i have seen a few that portray serpents without a skull. The lid is secure and snaps closed.
