a very good circa 1850 Karakalpak (Uzbekistan), silk embroidered sash, that was used in a headdress. Silk on cotton, and it was originally made like this, woven in short strips and sewn together. This particular one i i sourced from a friend from Kabul back in 1976 and have had it ever since. Somewhat rare; i haven't seen a good old one on the market in the last few years. it has very fine stitching and excellent dyes.....
