Stomacher or early spanish front dress Circa 1700/1750. This garment was pinned to hide the rigid bodice hidden by the stomacher and often on to à la française gown. Cream taffeta silk on a rigid linen stitched and embroidered with polychrome stylized flowers above a cart lattice . Yellow , light green, dark green , salmon, pink and blue silk thread. Pink braid of very thin taffeta at the top. Good condition and preservation. Very "Fresh " for its age. Dimensions: height 33 cm, width 7 cm at the base and 30 cm at the top.
