a fine antique Yomud tribe Turkoman / Turkmen weaving. While the overall shape can suggests that this maybe a saddle cover, it's large size and lack of a slit (often seen in saddle covers) can mean this might be a Salatchak (cradle rug). The design is very well executed and it is a signed piece near the top right corner (unique quality). The weaving is extremely tight with a flexible handle and nice soft wool. It has some expected superficial age wear and old repairs, but nothing distracting as seen on the photos. Offered at a fair price. Please email me your questions. size: 98cm x 92cm (3'3" x 3')
