Saltbag, probably Qarabagh region, Southern Caucasus, 51 x 43 cms, sumak front, flatweave back, opened with no side binding remaining, wool warps, cotton foundation wefts but no cotton in the extra-weft wrapping, great range of colours, at least one insect dye used; back design the same as a saddle bag back shown on p. 201 of Wertime, “Sumak Bags”.
