Beautiful Old Rajasthani or Sindi Camel Cover Textile. Camel decoration flatwoven textile from the Thar Desert region near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan or near the Sind area of Pakistan. Approx. 48 x 33 inches. The textile is woven entirely of cotton and shows undeniable Baluch influence in its design. The textile is put over the camel’s hump, therefore the hole in the middle, and it was used for festive occassions such as weddings, festives, parades, etc. Good condition, but could use a wash.
